Award-winning technology

These awards were won by InMode’s DiolazeXL — the laser platform we treat with — not by our clinic. We think the technology you are treated with is worth knowing about.
DiolazeXL is a diode laser hair removal system made by InMode, the same manufacturer behind Morpheus8 and Lumecca. It works at 810 nm — the diode wavelength most strongly absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle — with settings matched to your hair and skin rather than treating everyone the same.
Two things set it apart from older hair removal lasers. Its treatment window is unusually large, so more skin is covered with every pass — underarms can often be finished in a matter of minutes. And its handpiece has a substantial built-in cooling surface that protects and soothes the skin while the laser works.
At South Surrey Glow Hormone & Aesthetics, DiolazeXL treatments are performed by our trained clinical team in a physician-led medical clinic — not a salon.
The laser emits an 810 nm wavelength of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. That energy converts to heat at the root, which disrupts the follicle’s ability to produce new hair. The surrounding skin is left alone — which is precisely what the cooling surface is there to protect.
The 810 nm diode wavelength is absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft and follicle, not by the surrounding skin.
That absorbed energy becomes heat at the root, interrupting the follicle’s ability to grow new hair.
Hair grows in cycles and only follicles in their growth phase respond — which is why a course of sessions is needed.

Most patients describe DiolazeXL as a quick, warm snap rather than a sting. Its cooling surface is among the largest fitted to a hair removal handpiece, which is what makes longer areas like legs and backs tolerable in a single sitting.
It also matters for safety. We assess your skin and hair at consultation and set your settings accordingly, starting conservatively and using test spots where appropriate.
Hair colour matters more than most people expect: laser targets pigment, so grey, white and very fair hair does not respond. We will tell you honestly at consultation if you are not a good candidate.
DiolazeXL treats almost anywhere unwanted hair grows — face and body, for women and men. These are the laser hair removal areas we treat most often at our South Surrey clinic.

We would rather point you at published data than at adjectives. Two peer-reviewed evaluations of the diode laser platform DiolazeXL is built on:
Patients receiving three underarm treatments four to six weeks apart showed an average hair count reduction of about 70 per cent — and at one-year follow-up after the final session, that reduction was maintained.
Goldberg DJ. One-year follow-up results of hair removal using an 810 nm diode laser. Study funded by InMode.
Across 100 patients treated on various body and facial areas with three sessions six weeks apart, average hair count reduction at six-month follow-up was 84 per cent with one handpiece and 81 per cent with the other, with no significant or unexpected adverse events.

These are small published studies under specific treatment protocols. Your own hair, skin and goals decide your plan, and we will set realistic expectations at consultation rather than quote you a percentage.

When laser is not the right answer. The laser finds hair by its pigment, so grey, white and very fair hair does not respond at all — no device changes that, and we would rather tell you at consultation than sell you a course that disappoints.
Recent tanning, certain medications and some skin conditions can also mean waiting, adjusting settings, or choosing something else entirely. We go through all of it before anything is booked, so the plan you leave with is a medically sound one.

The Laser Hair Removal Membership — $1,900 for a full year.
Unlimited sessions on all three areas for twelve months, spaced to work with your hair growth cycle. One membership, one price, however many sessions your hair needs.
*No substitutions between areas, not transferable. Available September 1–30, 2026 only. We are closed Wednesday, September 30th for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, so please reach us by Tuesday, September 29th.
Most areas need a course rather than a single visit, because only follicles in their active growth phase respond to the laser. Sessions are typically spaced four to six weeks apart. We set the number with you at consultation based on the area, your hair and your goals, and adjust as we go.
InMode describes the sensation as a warm flick of a rubber band, which matches what most of our patients report. Denser or bonier areas can feel a little sharper. The built-in contact cooling is one of the largest on any hair removal handpiece, and we ask you to tell us during treatment if anything feels too hot. Smaller areas such as the upper lip or underarms take only minutes.
Yes — DiolazeXL is suitable for a wide range of skin tones. Your settings are matched to your skin and hair at consultation, and we start conservatively, using test spots where appropriate before treating a full area.
The accurate term is permanent hair reduction. A completed course typically leaves far less hair, growing back finer and more slowly, and many people need only occasional maintenance afterwards. It is not accurate to promise that every hair is gone forever, and we will not tell you otherwise.
Shave the area 24 to 72 hours before your appointment — the laser targets the follicle beneath the skin, not the hair above it. Avoid waxing, plucking or threading for several weeks beforehand, since those remove the very root the laser needs. Avoid recent sun exposure, and no fake tan or strong actives in the two weeks before. Tattoos in the treated area are covered during your session.
Very little. InMode documents redness as expected for roughly one to two hours, sometimes with a mild sunburn-like sensation over a similar period, and some redness or swelling around the individual follicles. Most patients return to their normal day straight away. Aftercare is covered with you at your appointment.
The cooler months are ideal, and the reason is more specific than most people expect. InMode's own clinical guidance notes that in spring and summer the skin produces melanin more actively even with minimal sun exposure — and that new melanin raises the risk of thermal injury before it is visible as a tan. Treating in the low-sun months means working with skin whose pigment is stable. Because a course runs across several months, starting in autumn also means the work is largely behind you by summer.
IN THEIR WORDS

Our clinic sits at 15388 24 Ave, Suite 112 in South Surrey — a physician-led medical practice, not a salon with a laser in the back room. The same team looks after your skin across every treatment we offer.
Laser hair removal here is delivered in a medical setting under physician oversight, alongside our other InMode treatments — not as a salon add-on.
If your hair or skin is not well suited to laser, we will tell you at consultation rather than sell you a course that will disappoint.
Many patients combine hair removal with other treatments. Having it all in one place means one team who knows your history and your skin.
