THICKER EYELASHES WITH LATISSE®

Great eyelashes don’t just happen overnight. That’s why it’s important to note that LATISSE® solution works gradually and remarkably — with full results at week 16. Once you begin, you must continue applying the topical solution each night and follow the directions for best results. If you stop using LATISSE®at any time, your eyelashes will return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.

Set your sights on growth. As the treatment progresses, you’ll first begin to see changes in length. Then, gradually, you’ll notice more thickness and darkness in your lashes. If you’re satisfied with your results by week 8, don’t stop there. Stick with the treatment. After week 16, you’ll see the full effect of LATISSE®solution — and so will others.

Results were proven in our clinical study.
The LATISSE® clinical study was conducted at 16 sites across the country and included 278 participants of varying ages (22 to 78). The study tested LATISSE® solution and a vehicle (or placebo), which was LATISEE®without its active ingredient. Neither patients nor Clinical Investigators knew which group received what treatment. By week 16, the results showed that 78% (107/137) of participants experienced a significant increase in overall eyelash prominence (including elements of length, fullness and darkness), compared to 18% (26/141) for the control group.

Clinical trial results showed lashes were:
25% longer (2% for control group)
106% fuller (12% for control group)
18% darker (3% for control group)

Individual results may vary. The lashes displayed are unretouched, without mascara. If you stop using LATISSE®, your eyelashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months. Results may vary from eye to eye. There may be differences in eyelash length, thickness, fullness, pigmentation (darkness), number of eyelash hairs or the direction of eyelashes. If you experience any of these variations in your lashes, they will usually go away once you stop using LATISSE®.

Want to know more? Here are the answers to some other common questions.
Q: What are the ingredients in LATISSE® solution?
A: Active ingredient: bimatoprost.
Inactive ingredient: benzalkonium chloride; sodium chloride; sodium phosphate, dibasic; citric acid; and purified water. Sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid may be added to adjust pH. The pH during its shelf life ranges from 6.8 – 7.8.

Q: Which type of doctor prescribes LATISSE® solution?
A: Many different types of doctors can prescribe LATISSE®, including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, ophthalmologists, OB/GYNs and primary care doctors. However, not all doctors may be familiar with it. To find one who is, use the Find-A-Provider tool.

Q: If I apply more LATISSE®, will I get faster results?
A: No. LATISSE® works gradually over the 16-week treatment period. Use of LATISSE® more than once a day will not increase the growth of eyelashes. Please follow the directions, as instructed by your doctor.

Q: How do I maintain my results?
A: To achieve the full effect of LATISSE®, you will need to use the product daily for 16 weeks. After that point, you can talk to your doctor about ongoing use.

Q: Are the lashes in the Before & After LATISSE® photos retouched?
A: The results you see posted in all of our Before & After Galleries are real photographs of actual LATISSE® users without mascara.Their lashes have not been retouched or altered in any way.

Q: Are there any special warnings associated with LATISSE® use?
A: LATISSE® solution is intended for use on the skin of the upper eyelid margins at the base of the eyelashes. Refer to the illustration below. DO NOT APPLY to the lower eyelid. If you are using other products in the same class for elevated intraocular pressure (IOP), or if you have a history of abnormal IOP, you should only use LATISSE® under the close supervision of your physician.

LATISSE® use may cause darkening of the eyelid skin which may be reversible. LATISSE® use may also cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely to be permanent. While very infrequent, increased iris pigmentation has occurred when LATISSE® was administered.

It is possible for hair growth to occur in other areas of your skin that LATISSE® frequently touches. Any excess solution outside the upper eyelid margin should be blotted with a tissue or other absorbent material to reduce the chance of this from happening. It is also possible for a difference in eyelash length, thickness, fullness, pigmentation (darkness), number of eyelash hairs, and/or direction of eyelash growth to occur between eyes (e.g., results may vary for each eye). These differences, should they occur, will usually go away if you stop using LATISSE®.

Q: What should I do if I get LATISSE® solution into my eye?
A: LATISSE® solution is an ophthalmic drug product. If any gets into the eye, it is not expected to cause harm. The eye does not need to be rinsed.

Q: What is elevated intraocular pressure (IOP)?
A: This is a condition where the pressure inside the eye is higher than normal. LATISSE® may decrease IOP. So talk to your doctor if you are using IOP-lowering medications. Concurrent administration of LATISSE® and certain IOP-lowering medications in ocular hypertensive patients should be closely monitored for changes in intraocular pressure.

Q: What is Allergan?
A: Allergan is a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, with over 60 years of eye care expertise.
